Situation: Joshua Cope, serving his second tour with the First Division in Iraq, was severely wounded in action. He came home having lost both legs and the use of his right arm. Joshua's wife recently gave birth to their first child. Joshua is currently in San Diego going thru extensive rehabilitation. He's learning to walk again, this time with robotic legs.

Habitat for Humanity Home at Last II
Situation: Marcus Benjamin Griffin, is a 5 year U.S. Army veteran. On his second deployment to Iraq, he was injured in a small village of Buquaba. While searching a building with his K-9, Marcus and another soldier sustained serious injuries in an IED explosion. The blast left Marcus unconscious with his clothing, boots, and body armor stripped away. He sustained a concussion, severe burns to his face, broken orbital bones on both sides of his face, shrapnel damage to the left side of his body, a collapsed lung and deep lacerations in the shin area. Both ear drums were ruptured and his eyesight was damaged leaving him legally blind.

Situation: Sergeant Major Patrick Corcoran, is a 23 year U.S. Army veteran. Corcoran was injured by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan last year. 32 members of his unit were killed. Corcoran was left paralyzed from the waist down.

Home for a Hero
Situation: William Castillo, who is originally from New York, took five shots, including one that exited through his mouth, after a bomb exploded under his Humvee in Iraq. He was struggling to get back to the burning truck to help his comrades when a missile cut through the vehicle and severed his left leg at the knee. He was the lone survivor of the attack.

Brethren Reaching Out
Situation: Guided by Sister Rose, the Executive Director, Brethren Reaching Out provides child enrichment services for Latchkey and other needy children who would not otherwise have after school activities. In addition they also provide new clothes, sneakers, Summer Camp activities and gifts at Christmas time. Additional services provided to needy families include help with rent and utility payments, food and other assistance.

Delphini Construction sponsored a "Shopping Spree" at Wal-Mart for holiday gifts for the 100 children in Sister Rose's program. We believe in building strong communities and making sure that every child has a chance.
Situation: A third generation, family run, (501 3 C) Charity providing life long services for profoundly disabled children and adults. Most of the buildings on the property were in need of repair. The roofs should have been replaced years ago, and as a result there was a lot of drywall and ceiling damage. The TV show "Extreme Home Makeover" had made a commitment to build the Russell Home a new building, but, after six months went by and Aunt Janet's phone calls stopped being returned and with the rainy season about to begin she looked to Delphini Construction for help.
